Landlords and property managers: The booklet, “Information on Dampness and Mold for Renters in California,” is now required to be given to all tenants placed after January 1, 2022.
It comes from the state Department of Public Health. This booklet is required by SB 732, the Toxic Mold Protection Act, that was passed in 2001, but the booklet was not developed by the Department of Public Health until now.
