2 Bedroom Ocean View Beach House – Sanderling
This vintage beach house is nestled in the Asilomar dunes area on two acres of lovingly restored native sand dune habitat. Set back from the road, it enjoys spectacular unobstructed views of the Pacific, crashing surf, sunsets and moonsets. Away from city lights and traffic, the nighttime sounds are those of wind, waves and the occasional sleepy cries of sea birds and sea lions.
The living room, sunroom, and kitchen have full ocean and sand dune views allowing one to observe the ever-varying parade of wildlife: whales, sea lions, sea otters, pelicans, cormorants, shore birds, black-tailed deer and more. A private enclosed back yard with bird feeders and baths provides a sanctuary for resident and migratory species.
The home is steps to rocky and sandy beaches, walking and biking trails, and is mid-way between the Pacific Grove municipal and Spanish Bay golf courses. The ambiance is intimate, cozy and comfortable with an open floor plan, hardwood flooring and Persian carpets, original signed artwork, and handcrafted driftwood furniture and carvings.
Two upstairs bedrooms each have Queen sized beds. The second bedroom is adjacent to a full bathroom; another full bathroom is located on the ground floor.
The sunroom is an ideal place to stretch out, read and relax as well as to dine and entertain. Amenities include a home theater system, WiFi and cable, flat panel TVs with Roku, Amazon Prime and Netflix video streaming, DVD players, and a video library.
NOTES: Limited cell phone service in this area. Fireplace is unusable.

With grassy areas for picnics and surrey, bike, kayak and paddle board rentals—this park is a favorite of visitors and locals alike. Stroll down the coastal recreation trail to commune with seals and sea otters, or play golf at the ocean side Pacific Grove Golf Course, affectionately known as a “budget-minded alternative” to Pebble Beach.
